I'm not the only one who's embarrassed. Nor the only one who sees Britain with diminishing respect. It's been declining for s couple years now, for blatantly obvious reasons. It wasn't caused by me, or anyone else but Engish leadership's consistent behaviour.

But anyone in close proximity to an English holiday resort has another set of behaviours which feed those very same stereotypes. Again, I didn't cause that. I am, however, often exposed to it, like so many others.

Kissing? Fish & Chips? Justin Timberlake? I don't know. Surely it was the fault of "autocorrect". Right, then.

Yet all you've done is post this instead of actually discussing the Brexit debates. You could have started the discussion if you'd chose to, but didn't.

Here's mine. It's a fudge. The government's still trying to reduce Parliament's role in Brexit. The dates for increasing Parliament's involvement don't leave a lot of time for any changes instructed by MPs to be implemented by the PM.

Which is exactly what I said to ami about two hours ago when I said that all politics involves deals and chicanery.

I don't know why so many people on here get upset and/or amused by the Brexit process. It's just basic politics.

and perhaps the single most damaging act in its history. Certainly the most misguided. Amongst the most ironic of our time.

When I quoted your post, I hadn't seen what you said to Ami. And I was pointing out that you could have said in at the time you posted the quote I was responding to.

Politics doesn't have to be confrontational. Why can't politicians work together in the interests of the country, instead of in their own party and personal self-interests?

Sorry if you are exposed to it, petal, but if you want to live in a tiny village in close proximity to an English holiday resort on an island infested with drunks, prostitutes, druggies and daily deaths (your words), not to mention the annual appearance of German neo-Nazis on vacation, why blame the Brits? Sorry, English..I assume Scots, Welsh and Irish do not go to Mallorca. I don’t blame them if it is always hosting neo-Nazi holidaymakers. Have they got rid of the Ballermann yet or does it still stink of bratwurst and French fry fat?
