So if a poster mentions this country no-one should answer? Why?

It seems that when someone mentions India...the thread is then almost taken over by 'India'...taking the thread off topic.

Yes? so why are you insisting on doing it when it is not accurate? A migrant lives permanently an expat comes and goes.

If you have a home , work, pay tax you are a migrant.
If none off the above you are either on holiday or visiting.

The posts have been about who is a migrant, not India, what migrants come to the uK from anywhere and everywhere and why.

So yes I benefited!!
Hundreds came to the UK to do this and went back.

EMR have you ever wondered why there are so few British Expats posting on this Forum who came to the UK as a non-EU migrant and are now living in another EU country? The description "immigrant" is not used as a 'positive' is it?

Er...because they wouldn't be an "expat" if they still lived in the UK.

If at first you don't succeed, have a beer and go to sleep....zzzzzzz

EMR was making repeated inaccurate remarks regarding my husband, why should I not reply to correct?

The topic was immigration and the EU. The majority of foreign born migrants in the UK are of Indian (recently also Polish) and--so the nationality might unfortunately be mentioned apologies.

You are still a migrant in the country where you were not born unless you have dual nationality.

In terms of world GDP the EU is the small picture, in terms of growth and progress, the EU is a negative.

The rest of the world is the future, the EU was a dead duck before it began and an expensive one at that.

Leave commie Merkel to her 4th Reich, if trends continue it won't last long.
Ah! Ok. It's just when you said "This is what Nigel Farage has been saying from day one." I took it that you saw this as some sort of endorsement - Nige says it so it must be right. Obviously not.

If we 'get the flock out' we will have no involvement in good stuff like Galileo and Euratom. The reason I mention this is because May and her team are getting out of those but the erstwhile leaders of Vote Leave are saying that's madness and we should be staying in.

What's your view?

They all know that a deal done by a UK in desperation will be a good deal for them. Of course they're eager. Like sharks, I'd say.

New Zealand'll probably be the first beneficiary - the UK's just appointed a Kiwi to head up the Department for Desperate Deals and this guy was saying only a few months ago how much NZ could benefit from the position the UK finds itself in. I gather Australia are keen, too. But both already trade widely in a trading bloc of their own so they're in the happy position of not needing to fill a yawning gulf with new deals in a desperate rush. They hold the whip hand in getting a deal on their terms.
