You have you remember Fred has never recovered from the end of national service and decimalisation..
He was probably just getting used to one when the second happened.

:goodpost: I totally agree and have said so from the beginning. There has always been something 'fishy' about the zeal for Brexit. the zeal of the Brexiters in fact against all the facts. The use of people like Farage to push it through.. who then disappeared to the USA.
It would look almost like a 'conspiracy' if you believed in those. For the Oxford set to get their moment of power.. then be handsomely paid off with jobs in the banks. a la Cameron,or in the influential companies a la Major..

They all saw the writing on the wall years ago i'm sure The UK was an ex-empirical power, slowly sliding down in influence since WW2. How do those in power now sell that to the people though.? By wresting us from the influence of the EU.( at the behest of the USA.) then selling the idea that the UK can 'go it alone' by rising from the ash's to become somehow? the power they used to be. It's rubbish and they know it. Does it matter? Not to the ambitious who want money and power now. The very flippancy and second rateness of our present politicians shows us that

We shouldn't be too mean, if the Spanish really want Gibraltar back then it's down to Fred and his monkeys to fight them off.

Brief summary, couple of quotes, that sort of thing. Just give us a rough idea of what's beyond the headline :sneaky:

Birds of a feather.

Angela Merkel meets with IMF chief Christine Lagarde to discuss the 'Greece problem' | World | News | Express.co.uk

How come either of these two are still in a job is beyond belief.

Here's the headline and sub-header.

Yes I know - it's a tip I've handed out on numerous occasions. However, I doubted Dick would have had the wit to either take notice at the time or remember it now if he ever had.

And given that the article is a) way above the normal standard for him and b) not at all in keeping with his normal position, I strongly suspect he hasn't actually read it himself, or he wouldn't have posted the link here. Hence my question ;)
