There's nothing wrong in living in a Spanish Disneyland, but don't try and pretend it's real Spain.

Yes, I know state governor is not federal, nevertheless it's a serious amount of power for someone whom you would prefer to deny full citizenship. I already pointed out that the criteria for president is US born, and presumably that extends to VP (as a potential substitute). Senators, not sure, but I've never heard of a restriction. In any case you are splitting hairs. Unlike yourself, the USA, like the British government is not fixated on country of birth as a requirement of citizenship. Time to update your thinking UKIP guy.
What I have a problem with are foreigners interfering in the democratic processes of other countries. Your crush idol Miller stuck her nose in where it wasn't wanted. I wouldn't even know who she was otherwise and we'd all be happier for it.

But my crush idol is British. British by birth (colony) and British by living here from a young age. Why should she not get involved in politics? You are on extremely shakey ground. And no complaints on Boris (as J pointed out)? What are your true motivations on this? Examine thyself.

I've already applied the same rule to Boris several times. He was born in the US and therefore shouldn't have been allowed to run for government IMO. If you're going to argue with me then at least have the decency not to misquote me.

So you're someone who places more importance on accident of birth (Boris) than capability. One's striving in education, good deeds, natural talents, social nous, intellect and charm should be completely ignored over the simple history of where the said individual popped out from his mother's womb. That's your view, is it?

I have no problem with people taking citizenship of any country. I also have no problems with dual citizenship unlike your far leftist buddie EMR who believes it constitutes an act of treason.

The hole you digging for yourself is getting so deep that you could come up in Aus where you will probably be deported as an unwelcome foreigner..

Oh come on Ami, the foreign population of the Balearics is the highest in Spain and the 850,000 or so people living on Mallorca are also accompanied by over 7,000,000 holiday makers each year.

In fact, it seems they may have well succeeded in convincing you (and lots of others) of a number of false premises to get you to vote the way they were hoping for.

Sorry but unless you were born in the United Kingdom then you aren't a real British person. Someone born to non-British parents in a colony wouldn't even be born with a UK passport AFAIK.

I fail to see anyway why someone who happened to be born abroad (as my niece was - in Germany of British service parents as it happens) should be unsuitable for public high office.

Collateral damage. In order to tar someone he dislikes with the foreigner-brush (an odious thing in itself) he has to invoke the USA presidential exception for natural born citizens, and claim that he is as against Boris taking high office as Miller campaigning for legislative authority. It's not easy denying ones true nature, I guess. As the natural born president of the USA would tweet, Sad!
