Leaving the EU

Congrats and thank you, Britain. You just lined my pockets nicely.
The good news is that Brexit isn't likely to happen anytime soon, if ever. As even Gove admits, we could well still be in the EU in 2020, as they aren't likely to invoke article 50 for some time, because that will trigger a seriously risky 2 year mandate to exit, which few actually look forward to enduring. The noise about simply ignoring any treaty obligations in the mean time is already starting. That would be consistent with the UK's "half in half out" behaviour so far.
As Tusk eluded to this morning, the EU on the other hand, wants Britain out as soon as possible, so it can move on without Britain's fear and loathing. I personally agree with that sentiment, although it's unlikely Britain will be leaving anytime soon.
It's gong to be interesting, that's for sure.

I'd only hope that the UK would invoke article 50 soon. I suspect the unwillingness to do that will incubate the next political crisis, which could well lead to a victory of the far left in the next elections (be careful what you wish for). And the mail, express and sun will be unwitting accomplices. They'll be too busy making money on the British national sport to see that coming.

Amongst the first people to feel the difference in exchange rates will be the thousands of Spaniards and other frontier workers who work in Gibraltar and change their £s into €s after being paid today.

I would have thought by now Ami, you would have learned that unsubstantiated fearmongering doesn't seem to work very well.

Well I'm watching Boris being passionately booed in London. I think it's rather optimistic that this is going to go down in any pretty way. You can expect plenty of political turmoil as Gove & company take (unelected) control.

So we voted OUT.. Nothing has changed.. the SUN is still shining here in Gran Canaria.

David Cameron, George Osborne, Jimmy Kranky,Scotland, David Beckham,Neil Kinnock,Owen Jones, president Obama , Nissan , all the other multi national greedy companies and finally the corrupt bureaucratic EU, Junkers, Merkel and all....
..........your boys took one hell of a beeeeeeting.
God willed it
