Here's a fence Labour have vaulted right over without even bothering to perch on it for a moment :
Labour members have voted overwhelmingly to give full voting rights to all UK residents, committing the party to extend the franchise to millions of immigrants.

A motion tabled by the Labour Campaign for Free Movement was passed at the party’s conference in Brighton on Wednesday morning, after MPs were forced to rush back to Westminster to attend the newly reconvened House of Commons.

Labour members back proposal to give all UK residents voting rights

If it's for long term (5 yeas+) residents it makes sense.

Of course it does and I'm very pleased to see one of the major parties embracing it.

It doesn't do to deny long-term residents a vote, nor to strong-arm them into acquiring citizenship for that reason alone.

Capey needn't worry - the Conservative voters amongst them might well outnumber Labour voters but that's not the (or an) issue as far as I'm concerned.

I agree. They've gone completely globalist bonkers.

As well as extending voting rights, the text commits a future Labour government to closing all immigration detention centres, ending “no recourse to public funds” policies and seeking to extend free movement rights to people around the world.
But at least now the cat is out of the bag with both Liebour and the il-Liberal anti-Democrats. Labour want to abolish the concept of citizenship and throw open borders for free movement with the whole of the world and the Lib Dems want to abolish democracy whenever the result is not what they wanted. Is it at all possible for these parties to stoop any lower??

Kate Hoey: One of a very small handful of Labour MPs who will never sell out to the globalists. Interesting comments from her regarding Corbyn.

Is that the Brendan O'Neill who used a live broadcast on the BBC to incite Leavers to riot? Nice people you follow on your video voyages of discovery.

And in the same very same text resulting from the Labour party conference and the article that you posted they committed to the other bits too. Voting rights were only a part of what they agreed. The bigger kickers are their commitments to open borders and freedom of movement from around the world.

Anything that Brendan O'Neill might have said about rioting is nothing compared with that.

Careful there. Hoey started her political life as a member of the International Marxist Group, then worked for your hero Blair, and criticizes the EU from the left - not your sort of thing at all, you should read the fine print.

Absolutely. Right-wing riots are unimportant compared to no longer holding people in camps. What we all need here is a bit of discipline, isn't it.
