Knighthood for Nigel Farage?

I want him in prison ASAP, he is, almost single handedly responsible for the referendum and Brexit, if UKIP and his rhetoric, anti immigration response etc hadn't forced Cameron into the referendum we would still have been in the EU, and if the Tories hadn't been so afraid of what UKIP meant to their voters everything would be so much better.

But like you said, it's nothing to do with the UK anymore....

Thought you said you didn't listen to him! Perhaps you read what he says or maybe just read what others say about him, selectively of course!

No - he's saying the UK should cease its adherence to the European Convention on Human Rights and scrap its own Human Rights Act, although he did manage to falsely conflate that with the UK no longer being able to return asylum seekers to France, which is an entirely separate matter and is a direct consequence of his Brexit.
1.. The UK can repeal the UK Human Rights Act anytime it chooses to, yes?
2. The European Convention on Human Rights has nothing to do with the EU, yes?
3. Farage knows to above, yes?
4. Why is he promoting Tory policy?

There is no such thing as Tory policy anymore ... It's all UKIP policy now

Yes.
I'm not sure what you're referring to here - he made reference to Priti Patel and said that it's all very well her talking tough but the UK can't act tough in expelling "bad people, including terrorists" because European Court of Justice and that's why we need a debate, now, about the "European human rights regime".
But yeah, he is odious and devious and I'm sure he knows very well exactly why it would be a bad move to for the UK to renounce the ECHR at the same time as saying the government should do just that.

No probs - I don't mind doing the odd stint of BrexiterWatch as part of a multilateral agreement
Possibly, but it may have unknown consequences because of the Brexit agreement. A watering-down seems more likely.

For the main, it was directed against the European Convention on Human Rights and the associated court. There wasn't any direct reference to "the EU" as such and nor was it implied. There was just that reference to not being able to return asylum seekers to France any more, which he also (incorrectly) blamed on the influence of the ECtHR.

Blowing the xenophobic dog whistle for personal political advantage. He should just slide back into obscurity where he belongs.

Obscurity probably would be the best outcome, given his craving for the limelight - with any luck, the broadcasters won't be pestering him for his opinions any more now they're irrelevant, and he's lost his main stage now that he's out of the EU Parliament, so no more cameo appearances to be divulged on YouTube by his Russian agent and algorithmed all over the place from there.
