True, it does but somewhat immaterial.

Reminds me of playing games against 5 year olds who would look to change the rules when losing, she knew most people know what it took to win this one.

Rules or not, do you believe the Electoral College, never mind who benefits, is a the right way to elect a President when the majority vote loses.

Like any of these issues you can argue it either way, if it was changed which is extremely unlikely you would find Politicians basically ignoring most States and just going for the population concentrations, would be the logical thing to do.

I can sort of see this happen in Colorado, effectively the State is controlled by lets call it the Denver region which causes all sorts of problems elsewhere.

You just end up with different issues. Which is better or worse is subjective.

All the Dems have to do is nominate someone half decent and then this becomes a non issue.

Clinton tried that in 2016 as well. Insulting your electorate doesn’t tend to win them over.

If the same people vote for him again they have learned nothing. There little to no hope of winning them over.
What hope is there when even a seemingly intelligent person like yourself seems to support him.

That depends on what the option is.

When compared to Trump every one of them is 100% more decent than Trump, Trump doesn't have a shred of decency.

Right now they just concentrate on the swing states, and most of them have far more voting power than their population would dictate. The small states get their huge push in the senate, why do they also need the advantage over the presidency? Yes, big cities would get more attention if it was a straight majority vote, but that's because more people live there - why should living in a low population area give you a more powerful vote? Why should living in a low population area with mixed party support give you the most powerful vote?

The whole system is screwed up, maybe as more old people die off there can actually be some positive changes because there will be fewer people clinging to the old ways that simply don't work any more.

A little unfair to blame older people, Prior to Regan and the 80's there was a strong labor union movement and anti war protest. Voting rights act and a more Liberal climate than today.
