It seems the trading platforms suspended trading on the stock today. Those Wall Street boys have their claws in everyone.

Rich people. blah. Poor billionaire upset he pays 50% tax marginal tax rate, tell you what, I will trade your 50% marginal tax rate and income for my 0% marginal tax rate and income.

Fair share is bullshit, but we are in this together and have to work together.

“This fair share is a bullshit concept. It’s just a way of attacking wealthy people, and I think it’s inappropriate,” Cooperman said Thursday. “We’ve all got to work together and pull together.”

Gamestop is currently trading at $300 for a dead end company that might be worth $5. There must be a few hedge fund managers being fired. It makes me wonder if there was quite a bit of financial firepower to set the ball rolling in the first place. Every shorted stock is fair game now.

I'm amazed a hedge fund didn't do any type of hedging against this, I mean it's in their name.

Yes, hedge fund putting the boot in hedge fund, and that's the fear that regulators have.
While they all act in concert to support one another, the system itself remains stable, it's just us poor suckers that pay the bill.
But... consider a scenario where hedge funds are at war with one another. Their substantial resources are quite able to influence share prices individually and given the fact that these bets carry a risk and can incur huge losses when they fail, you don't have to imagine that a large loss on one bet will force the dumping of other assets to cover that loss. Where this happens on a large scale then stability of the system itself can become compromised.
Of course the system can be stable where these idiots don't act like idiots, but we also know that they can't help themselves helping themselves to our money.
It's a game changer really, but one that'll be stomped on without mercy.

Hedge funds are poisonous vultures. While it's not intrinsically wrong, IMO, to short stocks and make money on a price drop, the sums of money now involved in this game mean that the hedge funds can, by their very actions, drive a price down and bring about the failure of a business - with the loss of economic activity, loss of jobs and livelihoods, and so on that this entails - all so that their already-super-wealthy clients can make money off the backs of other people's misfortune. Again, the misfortune that the hedge funds themselves have engineered. It's immoral and disgusting, but the very idea that there might be a moral compass amongst those who run the markets like this is sadly laughable these days.

A pox on all their houses.

With the newspapers saying how much money Roaring Kitty and his friends have made out of hedge funds small investors will be pouring their life savings into a lot of valueless stocks.Good news for somebody. A pump and dump operation like bitcoin.

Props to him for making the right call on the stock and holding. He's been making his case on YouTube for months.
