Didn't she say something about her Christian 'faith' helping her to make important decisions?

That's all we need! Someone who thinks superstitious nonsense is actually true and angels are real, taking important decisions that affect the future of us all!

"This Easter I think of those values that we share – values that I learnt in my own childhood, growing up in a vicarage. Values of compassion, community, citizenship. The sense of obligation we have to one another."

Yes, you're right, what an awful set of values to have

Theresa May has said her Christian faith is guiding her decisions around Brexit and that leaving the EU keeps her awake at night.

In a revealing interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, the PM described Britain as going through a “moment of change” that is “highly challenging”.

May said the country “had to get on” with a Brexit deal and revealed her faith helps her decide what is right and wrong when it comes to making the big decisions.

It is part of me. It is part of who I am and therefore how I approach things,” Theresa May told Kirsty Young when asked about her faith on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in November 2014. “I think it’s right that we don’t sort of flaunt these things here in British politics but it is a part of me, it’s there, and it obviously helps to frame my thinking.”

What kind of Christian is Theresa May?

British Prime Minister Theresa May says as a practicing member of the Church of England, her faith in God is behind every important decision she makes, including going forward with Brexit, or Britain leaving the European Union.

She has as much interest in compassion and community as Thatcher had.

Yeah! They didn't call her Thatcher The School Milk Snatcher for nothing.

I actually know her daughter, Carol. Not a bad egg once you get to know her. Mind you, I did get the shivers when I heard he speak...sounds uncannily like her mother.

I learnt a lot too, growing up in a vicarage. Compassion, community, citizenship and a sense of obligation may have been somewhere on the list, but I think I slept through that sermon and learnt them later in life.

Growing up in a vicarage has sod all to do with reality.

Who are "they"? The Arthur Scargill Fan Club?

I heard Margaret Thatcher speak many times, always inspirational but, to be fair, I was happy with the direction of travel.
Of course, your mileage may vary!

She showed great emotion when Mark got himself lost in the desert, not sure who paid for the rescue mission.
She showed emotion when she was dumped by the Tory party.

Given that she is reported to have said that there is no such thing as society it does not suggest that she cared much for the less fortunate ..

Wow, it's like Pavlov's dog, a programmed response.

Look at the speech concerned,

Prime minister Margaret Thatcher, talking to
Women's Own magazine, October 31 1987

"I think we've been through a period where too many people have been given to understand that if they have a problem, it's the government's job to cope with it. 'I have a problem, I'll get a grant.' 'I'm homeless, the government must house me.' They're casting their problem on society. And, you know, there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look to themselves first. It's our duty to look after ourselves and then, also to look after our neighbour. People have got the entitlements too much in mind, without the obligations. There's no such thing as entitlement, unless someone has first met an obligation."

It's a pity as the PM of one if the most devisive government's we have ever had that she did follow her beliefs and look after her poorer neighbours in society.
You a Thatcher disciple, " quelled surprise ".
Like the dinosaurs , soon to be just found in history books and museums.

At least Scargill told the truth when he said she had a secret hit list to close 70 pits whilst Thatcher blatantly lied by saying she only wanted to close 20.

Very much so! I was one of the ones dancing in the street when she died.

I've never understood how someone can take such pleasure from someone dying. Especially when the person in question had been out of the political world for over 20 years at the time of death. Bizarre attitude.
