Just putting a link to an article or worse - a video - with no representative quote or at least an explanation of why it's being posted is just bad form.
Basically you shouldn't have to even click the link to get the essence of what the poster is trying to convey - only to confirm it or get more retail or context.

This is a good example of where wokeness has got things seriously wrong, and is actually offensive to those it claims to help.

I never understand why no ID (in UK) is required for voting.

The ID situation in the UK is because for years and years people have been opposed to introducing it - apparently it infringes our rights. The last time I voted in the UK was more than 10 years ago. They just check your name from a list as far as I remember. It was a while ago, but I don't recall them even asking for any form of verification information.

It's a great video.

That opens the system up to fraud. I don't know why it hasnt been addressed.
The defacto ID in the UK these days is the driving licence though it marginalises those who don't drive. I've lived in a few countries over the years that issues ID documents an it makes life so much easier.

Did I just read a concern about Fraud from someone posting a series of youtube videos masquerading as BBC News and then continuing to do it when the deception has been pointed out? Talk about double standards.

Yes, but those who don't have a drivers licence can get another type of card: a photo card, that looks the same as the drivers licence (and is issued by the same people) but without the driving entitlements - For youngsters it's used mostly as proof of age for pubs, etc, and for elders when they are no longer able to drive. We produce them at the polling stations to vote.

Writing is fun. Staves off brain atrophy in the sunset years.

Somebody has gone to a lot of trouble and time to let such people explain in their own words, I suppose I could do a transcript but it is not a long video.
