Default Did usa debate change your choice of canidate?

Its par for the course after a election debate for political experts to try and "spin" what took place. The general opinion is that Obama was too calm and did not attack his opponent but instead decided to present his argument by giving information only.He is said to have lost the first debate based on style points.Does style matter to you as much as substance and has your opinion about either canidate changed?

No.

a) It isn't even real debate, it's a carefully controlled show with no real interaction, and

b) what does "win" mean in this context? Romney appeared more assertive, but had no substance - no actual "points" were scored in the traditional debate sense, and

b) I have to vote for Obama, since the alternative is unthinkable, debate or no debate.

It scares me to think Romney could be thought of as an acceotable choice for president.I can only hope enough americans are wise enough to see through his mountain of lies. This election is a very huge deal, the safety net for millions of people is at risk.

Its odd, but the debates formula is quite counter intuitive, as it lends very little to a functioning democracy. Without a backbone culture of informed electorate from a enquiring media, it ends up being little more than a smile and hair-do show.

If you are only making up your mind now, then you have not been paying attention, and are a symptom of the dysfunctional democracy.

I'm buying both the new lose-30-pounds diet system and the vacuum cleaner with the free steam mop after watching the infomercial.

It was dreadful, totally dumbed-down, a farce.

How anyone can be 'undecided' at this point beggars belief.

At the risk of sounding like Jim Davidson, I don't think we'll be far behind you on BA.

There are perhaps 4% who are still on the fence, perhaps another 4% who say they are not committed but, in reality, they are unless there is of an earth shattering event. The rest are doubled down. Hell they have been voting in a couple of states.

I didn't watch. If only there was a 1-866-VOTE # (only $1.99 per minute / up to 10 calls per voter) after each episode.

My concern is the number of votes that will get stolen by the dirty trick squads connected to the GOP.One organization was recently found out to be illegally registering republicans that died years ago and have been doing that in several states.Same group has been taking a voter registeration from Independants and Democrats and throughing them away in order to advantage the GOP. Its hard to believe that in the year 2012 there is a major political party in America which spends effort and money to keep Americans from casting their constitutional right to vote. There will be a certain percentage that will be lost due to voter suppression. Some of it has played out in the changing of rules regarding voting.Voter ID's,Address stipulations ect ect.Of course there will also be the tried and true road blocks to prevent people from entering polling sites, not to mention the dirty tricks involving robot calls that tell people that voting has been changed from one location to another and that the date of voting has been changed as well. The GOP is actually trying to keep elderly people from voting, especially the college age,Latinos, and African American voters. All these tactics work on low information voters. The people which only follow politics during a certain time of the year and are too busy to be bothered to keep up with current events. I do think Romney will get a 1-2 point bounce from his debate.Obama and Biden must now take the gloves off!! Clinton must also step up and campaign in a number of states. This will be a close one! OMG, why are Americans so gullible!
