Everything is going to be noted and examined. But better than ignoring it.

Although 14 days is the recommendation, 5 days is supposed to be the average for something to develop if it's going to. My MIL's 5 days since she was out is tomorrow, hence the extra concern at a cough today.
My 5 days are up Monday and the two stepkids on Tuesday. If we're still here Wednesday, we're having a party. Just us of course.

But why peas at all? Or mint. It's called fish and chips for a reason. Never more than salt and vinegar, although if it's Plaice, a little lemon is fine.
Here they serve it with coleslaw and tartar. Why FFS? Okay, tartar is a fish thing but not battered fish.

Even worse, at least two restaurants have asked if gravy was wanted (for the chips). The more I think about it the more I think the health department should shut them down.

Funnily enough that was checked a few weeks ago.

Large supermarkets and stores such as Walmart are hiring staff. Hopefully this will put some of the people laid off back to work.,

Fish, Chips & Peas are a thing, so no problem there (mushy peas seem to be a northern thing). Anyway, they're easy to ignore if unwanted.
Equally Tartare sauce is quite normal and I particularly like it with battered fish or scampi (so normal, in fact, that I didn;t even mention the large dollop on our plates today!) - but coleslaw is the spawn of the devil and has no part of any meal!

As for gravy on the chips

Maybe - not sure if it is early, but it is definitely out - my shoes were yellow after walk in the yard, and our vehicles have a light dusting.

As a Chef reading these quotes in the little village pub I work in, I knew we'd be shut sooner rather than later after the irresponsible nonsense this twat proclaimed. Not surprised as he was just as outspoken and Ill informed during a recent referendum.


Shame as we had already made massive changes to the business in order to provide what we considered a valuable 'safe' and potentially viable service to the community in terms of ready meals and other groceries since the supermarkets have gone to crap.

But I guess that's the last time I'll be donning the whites for a while.

For what it's worth (you really don't seem interested in rational discussion, but let's try again) ... I bought a lot of frozen food from Costco before all the panic buying started. I have no reason to believe ANYTHING I bought is in short supply, not now or then. I bought a single bag of frozen Salmon portions; a single bag of frozen Cod portions; a package of ground bison; a package of frozen asparagus; and some other odds and ends; that filled my freezer. I suspect you can buy all these things today at Costco. I also said I wished I'd bought more hand sanitizer; and now, limits are in place to limit such purchases to 2 items. So I could not buy more than that if I wanted to; I'd be quite happy to buy 2!

My question to you is - if you were allowed to buy 2 'units' (packages) of toilet roll today, would you decline, even if you had no idea when the next opportunity would arise?

Don't they let you renew it online? I only do mine in person in the hope that I'll look better in the picture than my last one, yet somehow I always look worse.

I wish they would clamp down on people in stores, need to make it one person per family, no kids allowed since they can carry it without symptoms, too many families still going out as a group to stores.

I don't understand this comment at all. Are you talking about Illinois in particular? Online ordering is rampant here, as covered in detail in Sid-NV's thread and others.
