It is strange though isn't it. ABC news, NBC news together with all the other regular media/news outlets report something said by police and FBI and immediately become "leftist fake news outfits"
while "much of the mainstream media is packed full of activists pretending to be reporters"

I mean, it's actually there in those two posts linked to.

There is a meme doing the rounds "KXL Radio in Portland reported today that Firefighters are now being shot at by suspected Antifa and BLM members" complete nonsense of course, and probably originates from a Russian troll farm, but it was being given encouragement from Oregon police (in the earlier video I posted)

People are believing it. Lars Larson (right wing talk radio) had a poll 78% say ANTIFA inolved, 22% not involved.

I am starting to be reminded of Spain in the early thirties more and more each day.

I suppose the kind of people likely to listen to that show and therefore complete the poll would provide a slightly skewed sample, but still. Not the country I moved to.

If I remember Lars Larson correctly, it has been awhile since I have listened to him, he is right wing, but not crazy right.

That is hilarious! I wonder if the likes of Paulry even know what BLM really stands for, and how long it's been around? The Bureau of Land Management is a long standing government agency that has been involved in projects like firefighting, timber management, river management, mines, etc etc.

"Bureau of Land Management" has been brought up many times in recent months. I'm surprised you missed it.

a prime reason why some people need to be protected from the truth in case they misunderstand it. Remember the paediatric nurse whose house was graffiti'd?

Maybe the agency needs to change its name to Land Management Bureau or LMB....

But anyone who pay's at least some attention should know of Bureau of Land Management and their long standing use of BLM, its an agency that's only been around for 74 years now.

A huge chunk of the Arctic's largest remaining ice shelf has broken off, with area temps up 3 degrees since 1980 and 2019 and 2020 both having record high temperatures.

https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-54127279

On the off chance that this is not the fault of Antifa or BLM, at what point will we all be willing to do things differently?

Canada's last intact ice shelf broke apart end of July. Over 2 days 40% of the ice shelf was lost.

I sometimes think in part people don't understand how humans are speeding up the climates change, yes the climate changes naturally but we seem to have put the change on steroids.

We have, and in some cases in a nonrecoverable way.

Well, maybe not people outside the US. I don't tend to pay too much attention to government agencies and their names. Since I do a lot of driving around in the 'west', and read extensively about water rights, water management, etc in the West, I've come across it enough that it has 'stuck' (along with "Core Of Engineers', 'Bureau Of Reclamation' (BOR), etc). In fact, when thinking about BLM just yesterday, I was confusing the role of BLM with BOR - it was BOR that built a lot of the big dams, not BLM.

Oh man, that is funny! I wonder how many people will actually do this ...

I didn't realize, though, that every vehicle in the US since 2008 has been fitted with a Tire Pressure Sensor, which transmits tire pressure to the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) in the car to tell you if the tire pressure is too low. I never realized it was mandatory since 2008 in the US. Friggin' awesome feature!
