Young couple moving away
Hello everyone,
Me (23) and my partner (20) are looking to move to Spain, roughly this autumn time. We are looking at the areas of Alicante or Costa del Sol, although we are not 100% set on the place, we are definite that we want to move by the seaside. Currently looking at the possibility of working remotely, scavenging LinkedIn and other job websites, although we are not opposed to working in bars, restaurants, etc. The knowledge of Spanish at the moment is very limited, however, we are looking to enrol into a course or start some online tuition to get it to at least a basic level.
Is there any advice or pointers anyone could share? What is the job situation like locally at the moment, as some of my research is quite conflicting? Would you say re-adapting is quite difficult?
Thank you for your help,

Bar work will not be available off season when you intend going and with the massive unemployment in Spain locals will get the first job offers. Without 'needed' skills and speaking Spanish you will struggle

Furthermore, I doubt that citizens from Non-EU countries will get a work visa unless they have needed skills. My advice is to move before Brexit if it is feasable unless one of you has EU citizenship.

Unless you have enough money to live for at least 6 months it will be very difficult.
have a look on job-today. I had 130 applicants for one job that I posted on there. Unemployment is high. Bar work if you dont speak spanish is limited to english bars, and thats mostly seasonal. Theres plenty of english companies here in spain, who all need staff, but if you are good, once you are in then thats it, its not a "high turnover" place.
We are based at Malaga airport, and we specifically want english speaking staff, because our clients are 99% english speaking. But you have to be over 25 for our insurance, so no, i´m not offering, i´m just saying that there are jobs out there, they are just like rocking horse poop.
