I'd say about 8 at the moment, fine in all the important things but with a few small niggles.

As a pig in the proverbial, though like Lynn I'll give it an eight, having a few little niggles.
I doubt that anyone can be happy all of the time, possibly contented and with peace of mind may be a better description.

same as above about an 8, miss the kids and family in UK, if I could settle that would be higher

All in all when I am back in UK, after a week am ready to come back, but need my trips to see family, week Saturday next trip

Hmmm I might be about 7, despite being in hospital recently I am not 100% well and it's a constant battle for me trying to nip it in the bud

I would say about 8 (probably 7 since the clocks changed) I am a born whinger and my OH is a very sunny person.

Some people have the ability to always look on the bright side. The old saying "There's always someone worse off" is alive and well.

I am an 8 or 9 .... a natural optimist and able to enjoy the positives in my life whilst not letting the negatives drag me down. I know there are many people in my position who would be worried about the future - unsure of where I am going to be living or working and how I am going to pay the bills, BUT my only fear is ill health. For now I remain healthy.

I think that you are so right with this thought. Ill health effects the ratings on happiness greatly. Regarding our normal everyday life here we are in the higher rate but taking ill health and how long it has continued into account brings it down to very near the bottom.

I don't like that saying. To me it's shorthand for "Stop whining, I don't care". Line everyone up and there's always someone worse off, until you get to the last in line, who is officially the worst off in the world, and he's allowed to complain.

Of course you have to define happy or content. I'm now a bit of a worrier, but usually about silly stuff.

I'd say I'm an 8, maybe a 9. I'm pretty content.

I'm afraid I'm at zero today. We had our drains fixed four weeks ago, which was expensive, and again today, which was just as expensive. It only cured it temporarily and the drain people are coming after the holiday to put a camera down the pipe.

I've always found that you can't be happy if you're in the shit.

I was OK until my bank tried to remove £1500 twice this morning, claiming that a currency company was trying to remove it for a one off transaction I did last week
