Pays to be. I remember my mother telling me once that she and my father had a visit from the family vampire. Unable to say 'p*ss off soonest', they had her in for a cup of tea. My mother went into the kitchen, and two minutes later my father was out there saying to her "On no account must you ever leave me alone with that again."

One can speculate quite easily on what happened there.....

My daughter has a 'friend' who always targets my daughter's boyfriends, or whoever she fancies. So now, to be that all important step ahead, my daughter identifies the most loathsome male in the club, and starts going on about how she fancies him. 5 minutes later her 'friend' is all over the guy giving my daughter a damn good laugh while she goes elsewhere.

Ever see the doco on the Mamas and the Papas? That was quite interesting.

The thin blond slapper was married to the lead singer, but when she heard Mama Cass going on about how she fancied the other guy, the blonde went for him in an instant, had an affair and effectively broke the band up before the first album was out.

It's all there if you look.

I agree that the veneer is very thin, it show in a lot of violence, that is on the increase.
But what I see in regularly everyday life, is a mix and match of people, going obout their own business, meeting friends, etc.

I dont seem to see the plotting and coveting that you notice

I see freindly people both sexes, enjoying company and relaxing. I dont see the underlying current of adulterous and vicous thoughts.


I dont know any of my friends or wifes friends that have had a fling or left a partner for another one of the crowd. As far as I know the lines have been drawn and not been crossed.

Try treating it as a zoology project and see if you notice a bit more. It pays, as Montgomail says, to be aware, or else the first time you are aware might be very unpleasant indeed.

If you doubt the idea that there is a lot of calculated adultery by predatory women seeking an already attached male, then you might like to wonder why they made the film 'The world is full of Married men' and why it is such a stereotype.

Stereotypes have validity. You can't create a stereotype that is inherently false.

What's the % of children whose biological father is not the husband? I seem to remember it as 1 in 7, but I'm happy to be corrected.

I think Bil needs some support for some of his theories (experiences). That's the beauty of anonymity on an internet forum, You can speak your mind, at times.

Of course there are predatory women, and men, probably in equal numbers, and when they intrude in your life, it's horrible. But they are in the minority. You can't live your life being suspicious of everyone you meet, and the bad ones don't have it stamped on their forehead.

I once had a relationship with a lady and came to the conclusion that she was more interested in my money and possessions than my body and mind. I even wrote a poem about it (honestly), titled, Money Gone, XXXX Gone.

Thinking about it later, she wasn't too bothered about my body and mind, but in fairness, her mind didn't interest me either . . ., neither did all of her body, but the bum? I now consider it money well spent.

According to a friend she has previous for this sort of thing, so she is no longer welcome here.

Well whatever it was it seemed to work quite well, and er indoors was never a spot of bother.
A woman just needs to clearly know her place, but a big stick is not always essential, just a firm hand and a sharp tongue,(or maybe a long tongue would also be quite effective,)
