Re: Are you a benefit fraud.. and living in Spain?
Let us get back on the thread. I have my heating allowance paid here in Spain and my xmas bonus paid, does that make be a benefit cheat?I lived in the UK for 68 years and paid all my dues and was luckey that I was only out of work for six weeks in all that time. My sick leaves where only taken when I had broken bones due to accidents at work and two opps, never took mondays off with a hangover. Yes I have been lucky. How many do you know that were off work with nothing wrong with them, extended hols and the such,is that not a benifit cheat?

I love Pembrokeshire and in fact it was our Plan A. Spain was actually Plan B.
In fact most of Wales takes a lot of beating.
May still get something there IF the Spanish market picks up.
(What's that pink thing with a curly tail flying past my window?).

Apparently we have moved on from that discussion.... but I agree, lovely place. We looked at a National Trust farm there a few years ago but decided that Devon would be a better option.... ha!

Lots of people buying here from away, we are looking at a new build and loads are being bought by outsiders. English property prices buys you a lot of property here, and a lot more relaxed lifestyle. Just been out on the cliff path for my daily walk, the same cliffs featured in the video. Grey, cloudy, but enjoyable! Come and join us!

There is a depressingly high % of the population I feel that would turn grass at the drop of a hat, especially if the person concerned were of a different religious, social or racial group.
Or didn't read the Daily Shite.

Sorry, I posted before I realised that the thread was about benefit fraud! I thought it was one of the Spain-versus-UK ones!
On-topic now, I promise!
I would maybe 'grass' IF I was absolutely sure the person WAS fraudulently claiming Benefits AND I had already talked to them about it. Because they are not stealing from 'the Government', they are stealing from you and me and, just as importantly, making all genuine claimants suspect.
But I would have to think about it very seriously before I reported them. I would like to think that once they knew that I knew, they would stop claiming by themselves.
