I posted as soon as I saw the thread, I was having fun somewhere else;) yes another Brit biz bites the dust, which I think goes to show just how hard it is to make a go of things, in the last 12 months it has not been got for Brits in business here but I am sure from the ashes a phenix will rise.
Not made up my mind about Friday evening, friends are going but it is something I would not have done in the UK, the thought of sitting with a glass of vino making polite conversation in a room full of people I don't know gives me the Hebe gibes. I understand there are tickets still for sale and will be obtainable at the door on the night, only time will tell. |

The Night I met Mrs Posh.................................:p
The bar was dark, lit only by a few well hidden lights near the ceiling. A dense crowd of Ex-Pat revelers rubbed elbows along the long bar. The air was filled with smoke, the kind of thick, smog-like smoke that hangs heavily in the air like clouds in a mountain pass on a stormy night. The deafening tones of heavy metal rock blaring from overhead speakers pierced my ears with a relentless, painful rhythm, alerting my survival instincts to turn and head for the door, and perhaps seek a more serene place to unwind from the stresses of the demanding work in my orange groves just past. But then, through the dense, swirling mass of humanity, a single face captured my attention, and a divine bliss engulfed my soul, resurrecting my spirits, and turning my restive, troubled mood into joyous contentment, for at that moment I relised that my long journey to find true love had come to an end. |

I feel the same way but I will be going with a friend who has problems with her house. The Mayor is supposed to be going but maybe he will have a 'more pressing engagement' ! I will be very surprised - and impressed - if he does go but, if he does, my guess is he'll make a swift exit if he thinks there will be loads of Brits bending his ear. I hope I'm wrong.
Maybe see you guys there. JJ I'm due to go but it looks difficult for me as too much is happening up Huelva way. I'll make a decision tomorrow afternoon but it's going to be tough. Shame because I would like to have had the chance to get a lot of people's stories. I hope I can juggle things. |
