I read in the daily free 'Metro' newspaper in Sevilla recently, that the Spanish Army has seen record numbers of potential new recruits, due to the fact that even Spaniards are finding it hard to get a job, such is the current level of unemployment in Spain!

We went to a charity 'do' on Tuesday in Benidorm for a popular guy who worked in Benidorm doing various jobs and died of cancer. He was well liked. As a result lots of local singers and musicians gave their services for free and it was a great day out. A lot of money was raised (and I won 2 bottles of whisky on the raffle :thumbsup:) Because of this thread I asked around and speaking to the people there who turned up to support the event it was confirmed to me that there is not much work in Benidorm at the moment. So there you have it....from the horses mouth.

You'll get that answer no matter where you ask around these days. Things are bad all over and people just like to complain.
