Wonders never Cease
At 11.00 this morning when leaving Esuri there was a "cherry picker parked" on the exit from the GC R/about opposite the commercial centre. The inside lane was partially coned off up to the viaduct and several men were working at the access boxes to the street lights. Does this mean that the street lighting repair programme has restarted or is it a new sophisticated scam to steel more cable from each street lamp. We should probably not get too excited as there was genuine concern that there were no lights on the viaduct and replacing the cable from the R/about to the bridge is probably the cheapest way to get the viaduct relit. We shall see since no one at the Town Hall communicates with Esuri in any way. The new EUC management company does not respond to enquirers .

Well dreams do come true. We returned after dark and the street lights from the commercial center to the bridge were illuminated all bar one. Again this morning "Intec" were again working on the lights at the GC SIDE OF THE BRIDGE. I am reliably informed that work has also taken place between the Albatross development and the second fountain roundabout though I have not seen this after dark. Still lots of work to do.
