I was cycling past the ones between Denia and Oliva on the coast the other day and I noticed that they charged between €8 and €12 a night. I seem to remember from my motorhome days that it was about £12 a night in the UK so not much difference.

There are several of them and they are a few hundred meters from the beaches.

Hi,
We have done this several times. It,s lovely.
You could try a LETS GO SPAIN /PORTUGAL or LONELY PLANET guide from a bookshop we found them very useful for working out a route. They also have sights to visit, prices etc.
Also if you google ASCI camping card it will give you details of all the campsites that can be accessed at low winter rates if you purchase one of their cards which are about 12 euros .
After which you pay a flat fee of 10, 12, or 15 euros per night inc pitch ,2 people, electric etc.
We saved a fortune doing this....Hope this helps.
P.S personally we love TARIFA where the 2 seas meet and you can see the alas mountains of Africa whilst laid on the beach.Mind you it can get windy hence all the watersports there.Try mazarron in murcia too there are several campsites there all do winter long term rates one of which CAMPING LOS MADRILES they take the camping card and have a indoor and outdoor thermal pool which is replenished daily.
Hope you have a wonderful time......Kevin

Thanks for all this info, we have used ACSI extensively in France and also a bit in Northern Spain last year and definately plan on doing so again... another thought... Christmas and New Year... at the moment, we're not exactly sure where we'll be then, but any suggestions of maybe campsites that do something good, or a campsite near a town which would maybe have a New Yeas Eve function? When in the UK, we like Black Tie for New Year; I don't expect to do that in Spain (OH is NOT taking his DJ!), but I would like to have an excuse to dress up for a night!! Any ideas, you good people??!:)
