Window supplier/fitter Mallorca
Hi,
We are building a finca in Mallorca and are struggling getting a reasonable quote for windows. We don't want anything non-standard, aluminium double glazed in grey.
Does anyone have any experience or advice?
As I'm pretty new to this forum stuff, apologies if my etiquette is out!
As a bit of background I will be moving out with my family (fiancé and little ones) once the build is complete, hopefully before Christmas. It is just outside Algaida. We're based near Manchester at the moment and we most definitely won't miss having to wear jackets in the middle of August!!
Cheers,

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

Re: Window supplier/fitter Mallorca
Window fitting seems to be amongst the most common businesses around. There are so many fitters in every town, it's would be difficult to suggest one over the other.
If you're only talking to the "big" guys, I'd try finding one that's small and independent. There are lots of them in Manacor, just down the road from you, for example. Or Felanitx, or Campos...
Just be aware that being a foreigner, the offer price can be double. If you are a more regular customer, the price can be a lot less, so if they try to gouge you, be prepared to politely tell them the price is too high and walk away. They probably need the work, so you may get a more conciliatory tone if you are nice about it and are obviously prepared to walk.
Good luck...
