Default why we shouldn't lose the mediterranean diet

This is only for the really interested here. It's very wordy and scientific...But thoroughly shocking and explains (to me at least) why Spanish children are getting fatter and why the diet industry is responsible for increasing obesity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM

What a wonderfully informative piece.

Because my OH has no pancreas and therefore has become a Type 1 Diabetic we were very aware of the effects of sugar but this gave us a much clearer picture.

Thanks for putting it on.

Wow. I didn't realise that you could manage without a Pancreas. in American speak 'way to go Graham!'. My OH is type 2 and I get warning signs (headaches)that I don't cope with sugars esp fruit sugars in too large quantities. Now I look for fructose on labels and am totally shocked. All the kids milky drinks have it. Even my Bifidus drink from Mercadonna. Along with all their ice creams. And some things you really wouldn't expect.
Have a healthy 2012 you two. XX
