Whooops

Due to my ladder falling episode, just been outside checking vehicles and noticed one of the cars ITV ran out end of February. It hasnt been used, and of course I couldnt do anything whilst confined to my sofa

Anyone had this happen? Can it just be taken to the ITV station with an explanation and get put through again?

Just take it to the ITV station and don't even bother with an explanation. It'll be fine.

If you are driving to have the test then you are not breaking the law. Just make sure you have made an online appointment and printed off a copy in case you are stopped..

I assume the date of the next test will be based on the date it became due.

I guess so. I have to take it to a mechanic who checks it over first and takes it himself

Thanks both

The date of the next test will be 12 months from when you have this test done.

Edit - or 24 months....depending on the age of the car.

Do you know, theres no such thing as LHD FTO headlights, because there are no LHD FTO's. Every year its gone into ITV and passed. This year ITV in Demia has shut down and moved elsewhere. They wont pass it this year so I have to have the headlamps chopped. Its booked in anyway :(

Isn't it the same lights as on a Mitsubishi Eclipse? They look similar and they do LHD models.....if all else fails stick some neon lights underneath.

Re: Whooops

Don't worry about it Mitzy.
Due to our road having been dug up while we were in the UK, and not being able to get the car out of the garage on our return. (long story)
Mine was two months out of date when I took the car for its test.
No one made any comment at all on it being late.
I did however make an appointment on line and printed off the confirmation just incase I was pulled in by the guardia on my way to the ITV station.

Re: Whooops

yeah just take it asap

unknowingly we were driving around once without an itv, hubby got stopped and fined, we then had to make a trip to traffico in Valencia to get the paperwork back which they take until you have a valid itv :frown:
