where has CNN+ gone?

Anyone know where the Spanish CNN+ channel has gone?
we rely on it because it's one of the few channels my husband can bear to watch for any length of time. It's how he learns Spanish... 30 mins each day over breakfast!
He's watching TVE 24 at the moment but prefers CNN+

Yes, it all happened after Telecinco (which is owned by Silvio Berlusconi's Mediaset, known for making trashy programming) bought the company that owned Canal Plus, Cuatro and CNN+.

They needed to make some savings, so out goes the news and in comes some more reality TV programmes!

When did this happen? I looked at at CNN just before Christmas on the TDT services, it was there then.

It had its last day 2-3 days ago, but it has been known in the media for the past month or so.

CM, in your post you put [QUOTE][bought the company that owned Canal Plus, Cuatro and CNN+./QUOTE] That suggested to be that CNN was removed from a satellite services.
Just went down to the TV lounge and it has gone. Now I am going to have to rest the channels again:frown:

CNN is still there, of course!

CNN+ is not. CNN+ was owned by a Spanish company, the only thing is had in common with CNN was the name and format.

CNN+ was 71 on the Canal Satelite. There's Canal 24 which is the TVE 24h news on 70.
