Hola, me again, keeping you all busy today 
We're based between Marbella and Gibraltar...... anyone know anywhere?

There's someone who advertises with the catchy line - "Don't seed it - Sod it".
I think he's somewhere near Sotogrande. I think I remember seeing the ad on the back of the SUR in English.

I seeded a lawn once, in UK though, aren't spanish lawns that course grass stuff?

Most grass in Spain is the coarse creeping sort called Grama.
You cannot get seed for it, you just chop up some grass and plant it a few inches apart and it will quickly spread everywhere.
You can sow "normal" grass in Spain and it will grow well - you can also buy turf but I can't remember where I saw it. Either way it will need tons of water.
We have a lawn comprising English type grass mixed with high quality Bermuda grass.
Most golf courses use Bermuda grass in southern Spain. It's another creeping grass but can be much finer and you can get (very expensive) seed.

I need a SUR in English, never seem to see them these days, will have to hunt one out, unless I can be really cheeky and ask if anyone has one at hand and could have a little flick through?
