Re: Where to buy Spices in Spain
Your best bet would be to go to the local spice market and look at the packaging. Or ask TRS for wholesale prices.
I'm sure someone else was asking the same question a few months back.
For coriander, I used to let a few per year go to seed for the next year but now find it easier to buy fresh when I need it.

our biggish chinese supermarket next to the train station has a lot of "hard to find" items.
our central market has a spice merchant with huge baskets of spices. they could probably help.
BTW - our = Valencia city center
Are you a business here in Spain? A simple search "mayorista de especias españa" brought up many options..

Oops.
Like I posted, searching wholesaler in Spain in Spanish brought up many.. If he has a VAT number than it should not be a problem. Even the big, business only restaurant shops carry what he is looking for. Sorry, the only one I know is Metro...

Hi All
First TRS minimum spend is £500 i tried them a long time ago. It's because pf the amount of expats in Spain i asked the question.
Since Brexit i now buy from all over the EU " Thanks Boris " before i had one UK supplier.
My problem is Balti, Biryani, Korma, Roghan Josh Sumac and Asafoetida" Hing " and more EU suppliers don't look to cater for the UK Expats. But thanks you to you all for taking the time to help me.
Thanks
Peter

All those items you list are mixes of various spices. Pretty simple to make your own...
A search brought up more places on the green island..

Checkout this web link for Spice suppliers in Barcelona...

Also be careful where you source your spices from....
https://www.consumerreports.org/food...mium-and-lead/
Also, when I was in Morocco I bought spices while I was there but have since thrown them out....
UNICEF: The spices sold in Morocco contain lead – Dailymorocco
Best stick with well known brands to avoid any of these toxins.

Re: Where to buy Spices in Spain
I wouldn't be seen dead in a Chinese supermarket in Spain owing to the Chinese genocide of the Uighurs, oppression of their own Chinese citizens in terms of lack of freedom of speech and unlawful detention of citizens who express decent and finally failure to call out Russia for the invasion of Ukraine.
How do you cope in day to day life trying to avoid funding the Chinese? I'm looking around my study and the only things I can find without a made in China sticker are my clothes and my furniture.
Anyway, back to topic.. Good luck to the OP in his search of spices and for spotting a good gap in the market.

if you are in Portugal, how about the large indoor markets there ? I've only been to 2 or 3 places in Portugal, but they all had a large market most mornings, with stalls selling all sorts of spices ?
