Talking Whats it really like living and working in Valencia?

Hi I just joined the site and was wondering if anyone can tell me a bit more about living and working in Valencia.

A bit about me/us: My hubby is Spanish (from Madrid) and we want to move to Spain. He has suggested Valencia as I need to be by the coast if I am going to move abroad ( ) and it's not too far from his family in Madrid. So we will be aiming to do some recce trips over the next 12 months before moving Sep/Dec 2007 (initially for a year, then will play it by ear). It is really early days in our search/project to move to Spain and we are really excited about the next year!

I am a newly qualified maths teacher and have seen there are some International Secondary Schools in Valencia so am thinking work-wise I may have some options (I also have TEFL qualification though have never use it!).

I came on here as I wanted the British Expats views on Valencia as a place to live and work.Saw the tread recently posted up on moving there - the technicalities but wanted a bit more flavour - real stories, day to day living/ experiences etc!

Apologies have rambled on a bit but if there is anyone with some stories to tell (good and bad) please post them.

Thanks
Cleo
