What are your views on paypal?

Hola,

Looks like I may be forced to use PayPal until I can prove my worth and get a credit card machine.

What are people's opinions on PayPal?

Would you think any less of a company or their services if they used Paypal for taking payments?

Thanks

a lot of 'big' companies give the option of paypal nowadays - including airlines & so on - so I don't think anyone thinks it's a bad or 'second class' thing

I use paypal a lot - both to send & receive money - and have never had any problems at all

si at present there is no other choice and we don't fit the criteria of worldpay either, so its PayPal or nothing!

I use paypal an awful lot in my business. To date we have had the odd problem, but nothing too serious

The only real problem is when something goes wrong. Then its a bit of a nightmare speaking to them. They are very quick to remove funds from you if a customer complains, without giving time for it to be sorted out amicably sometimes.

Paypal is ace. I use it wherever I can, even when I'm buying things online from big companies like Dorothy Perkins. :0)

Woo hoo for Paypal!!

Perhaps when you have a problem with them then you will see it slightly differently. As I said, I do a lot of stuff on paypal and its OK until you have a problem ... then it's not :)

I use paypal for my business and also personally and I love them. In fact, I prefer to use paypal over a credit card and if the choice was between two suppliers of a product and one took paypal and the other didn't, the one that did would get my business.

Works well and is free for the purchaser, not so good and expensive for the seller.

I'm sure I would and I wasn't meaning to contradict your opinion, I was just offering my own :)

That may be true but when I factor in the aggravation and hassle of getting a credit card machine, website security verification process with the credit card processor, website monitoring and secure certificates, PayPal comes out on top.

I am willing to pay a little more for the ease and lack of headaches.

I have used them for years, then one day they blocked my account. Apparently someone somehow had used my account to make a few small purchases. They picked it up, not sure whether I would have, but they were very professional, credited the money back to my account, advised me to change my login details, and everything was fine. That was a few years ago, no trouble since, and I still continue to use them. In fact, if there is choice, I choose the seller offering payment by PP.

I think they are great. The system is easy and without frills and I have used them for years in all aspects of purchasing on line.

Recently we were defrauded on something costing £73 on EBay........Pay Pal got every penny back for us...brilliant.

The company who did it wouldn't respond or contemplate a refund, but PayPal worked it out for us.
