It was you was it,
The type of guest renters dislike because owners have to repair all the " helpfull " modifications they do when obviously bored of sunbathing..

My tip, a decent size roll of " gorilla " tape.

I took a shower head apart in one hotel, to scrape all the lime scale out of the head because it produced such a pathetic squirt. After I had cleared every hole and reassembled it, it produced a spectacular torrent of water.

I don't like sunbathing - what else am I supposed to do?

Good idea, I shall add that to my traveling tool box.

Even in 4 star hotels I don't always expect sink plugs in the washbasin; how they expect men to shave beats me.
So I should have added to my list "universal sink plug" which I bought in the UK years ago.

Striptease pens, rarely found in the UK these days but freely available in quality euro outlets on the Costa Blanca

I certainly noticed that years ago when in Turkey, seemingly they don't have sink plugs as Muslims consider it dirty if you don't wash in running water, I don't know how true that is?

Regarding sink plugs or lack of them, only tells you they would prefer you take a short shower rather than a long bath.

Easy,
Wet your face with warm water (then tap off)
Apply gel/foam and massage in.
Shave until razor is loaded & tap on to rinse, same again until done.
Tap on and rinse.
Clean sink & depart.

Why would you need a plug ?

Like Rosemary we live too far away to even think about British foods, only thing visitors bring at Tea Bags, only because I like my tea and cant buy enough, otherwise Spain has just about everything UK does and fresher. But this thread has given me my morning smile

I got lazy many years ago, and abbreviated the process to:

Wet face
Apply soap and massage
Apply gel/foam and massage
Wet hand and further massage if face is getting dry

Then, as above, shave and rinse the razor under running hot water, etc. etc.
