Exactly right jogger. I think the latest figure was around 1m houses for sale across Spain

Massive over supply and a total buyers market. There will certainly be sales going through with 30%+ discount off asking price.

Just offer and take a chance. There's do many for sale just move on to the next one

There may be a glut of houses but many are in half built urbanisations or other developments that are badly located that nobody wants.
If you are looking in established areas it can be a different story. As ever it's location, location, location.

Exactly and if you go to certain areas, prices are increasing. You might get 30% off asking price, if it's an unrealistic asking price, or one of the apartment blocks falling apart.

Spot on Johnny. When I was looking last year I put in an offer at 9% below the asking price and it was refused. The property was then sold within 3 weeks of me making my offer.

It has to be said the asking prices have fallen dramatically to what they were eight years ago and with the pound now so strong against the euro it is even a better deal buying in Spain even without a discount but no matter where, you will always get a bit off, so when you combine the different circumstances it's definitely a win win for the buyer.
