Wanting to move to Almeria (Internet?)

I would like a bit of advice on Almeria.

I have been toying with the idea of moving to either Italy or Spain for some time now. I saw Almeria on an old episode of 'A Place in The Sun' and it looked amazing, I will be making my way to Spain in the next few months to look for some rental properties and I am thinking about checking out Almeria province.

The problem I have is that my business is run on the internet and I require a stable and relativity speedy internet connection. Does anybody know if you can get decent, fast and stable internet in Almeria province? I know this may seem trivial but without a fast and stable internet connection I cannot earn money so it is a must for me....

In Almeria city and surrounding large towns like Roquetas or El Ejido, or in tourist places such as Almerimar, I expect so.

In rural Almeria province, doubtful.

In rural Granada (adjoining province to Almeria) there was slow unreliable adsl. We couldn't even have that for ages (never did get it in the end as we moved back to UK).

IMHO of course.

Almeria was subject to the worst corruption and illegal building in Spain (IMHO). If you intend to buy down there, I would recommend you have a starting point of not believing anything anyone tells you about a property being legal and work from there.

Sounds about right, we went there years ago to buy land and they were selling everything as building plots, as long as you planted a few olive trees on it. :D
