I had an interview for a PHP role in Spain some months back .... I only discovered at interview that the work was all PORN. Problem is for any serious web developer (like myself) how can one move on from such a role especially when it is essential to add links to recent projects on your cv ... From a technological perspective porn sites are challenging to maintain since the web server gets massive hit counts and we start thinking about things like 'hardening apache', server redundancy and of course security issues, bigSteve if someone came to me with real os hardening and other security skis, I wouldn't care if it was for porn, gambling, scientology or the pope! To the OP - do payment options cause high bounce rates? From my experience people are put off paying by card, or in dollars not local currency or would be too embarrased that jugs monthly appears on their cc statement. Would other payment options open up a whole new world of buyers? |
