Try google?

+ loads more......

Whether you can get a free VPN that will actually allow to to watch any useful programs is another matter!

Re: vpn

If you are trying to get round the Geolocation problems with things like BBC iPlayer, you would be better of using a Smart DNS rather than a VPN. Try smartydns.com - they also include a VPN

Re: vpn

I saw a recommendation for ExpressVPN. High bandwidth, with a small charge. They offer a money back guarantee if not satisfied with the service.

Re: vpn

Hola is a free vpn that worked for me with BBC iPlayer but I only used for that one catch up service. I stopped using it altogether when iPlayer kept asking for a TV licence number.

Re: vpn

BBC iPlayer only asks if you have got a TV licence - it does not ask for the number. It’s about as ineffective as asking if you are over 18.

Adios, Hola! - Why you should immediately uninstall Hola I would not touch hola with a barge pole

Re: vpn

You can get a free trial of smartdns and unlocator to see which one works best for you before paying for the service. See https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/?gclid...oaAjDLEALw_wcB

I've read that article and it seems a little bit bogus as it's trying to persuade users to download and install "tor" which in itself is suspect as you have to also their browser.

Re: vpn

Try Hoxx . I use it and it works fine here in Phils.

Re: vpn

I downloaded Turbo VPN. The interface is lets say "a little crap" but its completely free with no limits and no signing- up. You sort of have to guess what you are selecting when picking which country server as it doesnt highlight it - as I don't think it's designed for the stick but it does work and we can watch UK tv by selecting UK servers with a little trial and error. I also downloaded free Live tv player from Amazon which works for your 1 to 5 channels. So in conjunction with the channels catch-up apps we can watch some UK tv live or just after.

Re: vpn

Try Tvcatchup app very good for majority of Freeview live UK TV and no VPN required.

Re: vpn

Tvcatchup is no longer free.

I'm watching TVCatchup here at the moment.(BBC News channel) No charge. Are you confusing it with Filmon which was free but now is a pay channel?

Tvcatchup is still free either via this link or an app for Android. It is live TV not catch up

https://tvcatchup.com/

Re: vpn

My mistake I mixed it up with filmon.

I tried to watch TVC back in September when I was in Cyprus but was not allowed access, I'm going to mess about with a VPN before I get to Crete in a few weeks time; that said I'm more a radio 4 chap than UK TV.

Fred James Mar 26th 2018 2:57 am

Re: vpn

If you stick with radio you won’t need a VPN.

Re: vpn

I know Fred, I'm also a radio ham and take a small rig on my travels (R4 via laptop or phone though) :)
