Default Voting rights for British Expats

We will get the right to vote even after 15 years out of UK:

The Minister for the Constitution, Chris Skidmore, announced the policy statement which sets out how the government will remove the current 15-year time limit on British citizens who live abroad registering as overseas electors.

That's a good start for Brexit, hope there are more policies that are good for expats.

Well it was promised last year, but the time frame caused by those wanting the referendum wouldn't allow the government to get the bill through Parliament.

I wonder what the criteria for the right to vote will be?

I left UK over 40 years ago.

Will someone who was born in UK but left as a very young child qualify?

???????????

I suspect not: it'll probably be the same as the current 15 year rule; viz: if you were on the electoral register when you left then you'll adopt this right.
