Default Vote for the Euro?

It seems that the powers to be in Brussels have decided to celebrate 10 years of the EMU. (How long did the U.K. remain in this?) Anyway on this web site you can vote fro a new 2€ coin design to be issued next year.
BTW, Most designs are simply awful

Maybe they can add Britannia as seeing she is out of a job. She first appeared on an English coin in 1672.

What's the point of a 2 euro coin?

Personally I have always thought that in the UK all we need is a 1p, a 5p, a 20p a £1 and a £5 coin.

The same logic applies to the Euro. 1, 5, and 20 cents and a 1 euro and a 5 euro coin.
