Vodafone Spain - Problem sending text messages

Is anyone else having a problem. I keep getting this message when trying to send a text.

Message sending failed Number not in use

I googled this and some person said it was a problem with Vodafone - so anyone else getting this or if not do you know how to resolve it.

Feeling a bit of an arse................I had run out of credit but that wasn´t the message that came up! Thought I had loads but been sending and receiving text messages from UK phones in Spain must have eaten up all the credit!

this chatting between countries is still so expensive irrespective of what thay say about Roaming which is why I have a mobile for each country.

have a phone with facility to keep track of the money but never been able to get it to work.

I do have one for each country but as I handle bookings and meet and greet for a friend they have my Spanish mobile so I am always on call. Don´t think it would be any cheaper if they had my UK mobile number.

I have a problem with my T mobile. Each time I top up in the week I get a message telling me that I have been given £10 bonus credit to use for text messages and calls at the weekend. What they omit to say is that it only applies in the UK. so I miss out!

We also have one of each country but if you are using texts it is 10 cents from Spain to UK and 8 pence from UK to Spain. With our providers Yoigo (Spain) and giffgaff (UK) we find texting reasonable but voice calls are very expensive between countries.

Couldn´t get on with Yoigo - really bad signal and didn´t work in the UK.

I think my problem is that it is roaming to their phone which is registered in the UK but is then of course in Spain so I "think" I am picking up two lots of roaming charges.

We have friends who are on YOIGO and they can't make calls to certain Movistar 'phones - ours, for example.

We've spoken to Movistar, who simply don't care! and also spoken to YOIGO who say any complaint must come from the YOIGO subscriber.

How odd since Movistar are part owners of YOIGO together with El Corte Inglase and others!
