Re: Vine Ripened Trumpers
Yip.
Ref. The National Horticulture, it was mentioned as the place referring to the little blighters as rancid trollops .... which incidentally means Loose Women & reference to Loose Women is the only mention of rancid trollops I found when googling. Ho hum (ps your link came up with no matches Lynn, or was that the point?)

I have been reliably informed that in an August edition of the Sunday Telegraph there was a report of a fatality in South America due to the Trumper,i have not read this but would welcome anybody who read this.According to my friend this UK citizen was on a walking holiday when he found himself in Marshland where there was an abandoned shoe in which the VRT was lying dormant ,sadly he could not be revived however his 2 companions made there way to a local town and received hospital treatment

Beans.....is this about baked beans or some kind of bean?
They grow on a vine, when they are ripe you eat them and they can make you "trump". Or am I still at a loss on this one?

That´s a very northern English word, one I haven´t heard since I was a child living there.

I think there's a minor misconception going on here. When we ask them for more evidence, they (inconceivable, I know) believe we believe them so spend some time concocting the next little chapter in this grimm (sic) tale. google jangle.
