not many of the main Spanish TV channels are available to watch LIVE via the channels websites...
so you will have to look at a thrid party provider - zatoo for example (although I think this is now a pay service

from FAQs
Do I have to pay to use Zattoo?
In Switzerland, Germany and the UK, basic service is free. In France, Spain, and Denmark, we offer test channels for free, with the full lineup requiring a subscription. This is due to content costs.)

or:

or get a TDT tuner for your PC.....

Yes, I use those two, mainly TVE a la carta. La Sexta is another where you can watch loads of previous shows, Salvados is my favourite. :)

There seems to be much more free choice here in UK, Zattoo,as has been said is free, TV Catchup has all the live TV channels for free, Livestation, FilmOn etc

As I said TVE a la carta is not live, but it's not far behind when it comes to news. There are all various editions of Telediario there, Los Desayunas de TVE and there is also Informe Semanal. The programmes last from about 55 mintes to 75 minutes, so you won't miss much. :)
