video recording from sky
Does anyone know if it is possible to do this?
|
Re: video recording from sky
Yes. Just plug one end of a SCART cable into the VCR SCART socket of your digibox and the other end into the SCART connector of your video recorder.

Okay, just gone and tried that. Still no go. Will play an existing video but will not record.

Re: video recording from sky
Put SCART into Digibox and other end to Video Player, then Put another Scart from Video player into TV. Put TV on to an AV channel (one that recieves SKY) and start to record.
You should then be able to record SKY with this set up. Good Luck. |
Re: video recording from sky
The problem with that set-up is that many VCRs only have one SCART connector.
If you have not got a fully wired SCART cable you may need to set the VCR to the video channel. The method of doing this depends on the make. With some VCRs you press 0 and with others there is a 'Video' or 'VCR' button on the remote control. If you still have a problem this link may help you. http://www.satcure.com/tech/scarts2.htm |

Help - What Is A Coax Cable!!!!!
Have Tried All Of The Above And The Bugger Still Won't Play Ball, It Will Play Movies But Not Ball!!!!!!!!!!! Frustrating Or What! |
Re: video recording from sky
This is where you 'daisy chain' the equipment together using the antenna in and out sockets but it will only work if both your TV and your VCR are English because otherwise you will not get the sound.
Unless there is something wrong with your VCR there should be a simple answer to this. Do you not know anyone with a little technical knowledge who could come and check your set-up? |

Frustrating Or What! imagine a stacking system. sky box at the bottom, vcr in the middle, and tv at the top. connect it like this : normal tv ariel cable between tv and video (tv ariel cable = coax) scart lead between video and sky box. the sky will play on the vcr channel, and you will be able to record it. |
