Valencia number 5 in Lonely Planet list

Lonely planet has released their top ten cities for 2011. The city of Valencia has come in at number five. The only city in Spain on Lonely planet’s list. New York came in first place, followed by Tangier, Tel Aviv, Wellington and then Valencia.

I agree too.
All to often Valencia comes a sad third to Madrid and Barcelona.
Valencia is a beautiful place and we love living here.

If I were shown a list of places where Tangier came in second place, I would have guessed it was a list of the most horrible places on the planet.
