That is so sad. Good to see lots of people rallying round. How do they take donations?

Quick update on the la cala rescue centre, they lost a total of 2 dogs out of 300, the kennels were badly damaged and many of the dogs were traumatised but they are slowly recovering.

We went down to help but at the time there was plenty of assistance and some serious cleaning equipment, so we took home 3 dogs that were high risk, 1 needing regular medication and attention and 2 puppies about a month old, that had been dumped during the night in the storm that caused the landslide.

We have had them 3 days and they are only now starting to show their little characters, having stopped sitting at the back of their box. So life is looking good for them again.:fingerscrossed:

Well done Jay:thumbup:

Here is a video of the clear-up. The Brit ex-pats are good at rallying round when needed.

I can take a couple of dogs if they still need foster carers, we live in the country and are 'dog safe' as ours have recently passed away.

Update on the 3 dogs we took in after the landslide at the ACE rescue kennels. Thought this might be of some interest, after the kennels were flooded out last week, we took in 3 of their dogs desperate for fostering. 1 dog needing regular medication and 2 puppies dumped at the gates during the storm.

All 3 are doing well, the puppies are now behaving as you would expect 5 week old pups to, what goes in now comes out, shoes, toes and anything moving forward is worth an attack and quick side swipe and they both have cracking little personalities they keep us and our other dogs entertained for hours.

The dog needing medication has started to come out of himself and is so sweet, he is as good as gold and all he wants is someone to love him, give him a hug and take the time to be with him, he takes his tablets no problem and has started to put weight on, hopefully he will soon find a forever home and he truly deserves it.
