Unlocking Mobile from Vodafone.es

I have been trying for weeks now to get my Samsung Galaxy unlocked from Vodafone and am getting nowhere.

I moved to Movistar in October and since then have been hitting my head against a brick wall. I do have another phone which I am using for Movistar but wanted to put my UK sim in to my old phone.

I have been in to the shop and they gave me a number to phone to unlock it. But that number just goes through several options none of which is applicable and then cuts me off. Back to the shop and she said she couldn´t help but there might be a shop that could but she didn´t know which it was!!!

I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount to get it unlocked but there are several online options and I haven´t a clue which is best. Anyone previously managed this?

Hi

It depends on the phone and the software; A Samsung Galaxy (what)? My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has Android 4.2.2 and apparently can´t be unlocked (yet).

Hi Dave,

Samsung Galaxy S 1900 quite an old phone.

I should have got it unlocked before I changed to Movistar. All they can say is phone 123 from your phone, which is completely useless as it is with Movistar so all I will get is someone from Movistar not Vodafone!

My Chinese clone of a Samsung Galaxy 4 uses Android 4.2.1 and is open to any provider.

Ebay.co.uk and pick someone with thousands of feedbacks.
Will soon see it unlocked for a little money.

I have unlocked a number of phones by getting the code via Ebay with no problems but they were all locked to UK Networks don't know if it makes any difference. Just out of interest if any one is looking for new unlocked phones all Wortens phones are unlocked.

Its law in Spain is not that the provider has to unlock when contract is over, Im sure I read about it the other day, IIRC it was Vodafone that caused the new law to be implemented.

Bloody hell, they are not allowed to do it in the UK now provided your contract was over 6 months old.

I mean they have to unlock, I know it was in one of the papers the other day.

I think Sim Locks in morally wrong anyway along with 24month contracts !
