Un Registration of car

A few months ago my car was stolen.It was an old Suzuki and I hadn't bothered to have it insured,no great loss as it wasn't worth much.But now I've noticed I'm still paying a massive 40 euros road tax.Went to the Ayuntament today and the gentleman there doesn't know what I need paperwork wise to un register it.Any ideas?

It was never on the road without insurance just parked up on a piece of land I have.:)

Report it stolen to the police as then you will be able to prove tax is not payable as you have not had the car from that date,then get your gestor to ask traffico.
