UK TV in Spain without using a VPN

My internet based (no extra boxes/dishes/VPN) UK TV system seems to be having problems - can I ask what other people are using preferably without messing about with a VPN - thanks.

Right now I'm subscribed to tvmucho for uk tv. No vpn (although a vpn isn't normally needed just dns redirection for iplayer etc), stable streams, reasonably priced at 72e per year. Alternatively there are many illegal iptv providors who include UK TV, sky, sports in their packages, again without the need for vpn.

Intelsat 901 satback remains popular. You only need a moderate dish of around 80 cm to 1 m and a receiver capable of decoding BISS Code encryption. Receivers are widely available, including on Amazon.es and code can be found online. No VPN required and the service covers main UK terrestrial channels like BBC1-4, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Most satellite/IPTV installers can provide the kit and set the dish.

I use Nowtv box which does require a VPN but that is not an issue for me as I get a free Vpn as part of my Internet package. I also have an android box with all the standard UK tv apps on again they need a VPN. I also have livenet tv which is an android app which can be added to any android TV box this allows you to watch UK and other countries TV without the need for a VPN. I use this sometimes when away from home.

Not going back to a dish - I have high-speed full fibre internet connection.

This link may he better for the livetvnet app. It would seem the other link doesn't have all the channels I get.

I reality you don't need a vpn to watch iplayer, All4, itvhub etc. DNS redirection is sufficient and doesn't have the overhead of encrypting the traffic so you still get full line speed. I've been using smartdnsproxy for this for years. They also provide vpn as part of the package, but I very rarely use it...

Hi thanks I am unfamiliar with DNS Redirection. To be honest I have very fast fibre broadband and using thd VPN which comes free with my Internet package I never have any buffering or other issues. I just have to connect the VPN via my phone or tablet and I get free access just have to remember to connect again before the 3 hours is up and we get uninterrupted viewing all night. The picture quality is excellent especially from the Nowtv box. My Internet provider doubled the speed of my Internet recently no extra fee I could notice the improvement of my TV picture. I only pay 30 euros per month for fibre Internet which includes the VPN a mobile sim card which gives me unlimited spanish mobile and land-line calls and texts + 5gb of mobile data.

I've been using tvmucho for a number of years now without a VPN and no problems.

Another vote here for tv mucho, my 70 year old dad can use it easily.

Another current tvmucho user here. Used to use them a couple of years ago, but their service went downhill. Subscribed to an alternative for 12 months. Now back with tvmucho.

Another option which seems to work really well is Kapang. I have it on my firestick as a backup. Doesn't have all the channels that tvmucho provide, but it is free. Streams are rock solid I have yet to experience any buffering when I watch it. Not quite as user friendly as tvmucho in the epg department tho.

I've just tried Kapang and it won't work here in Spain without a VPN so that one's not for me.

Yes I tried it and fine with VPN but without VPN or this DNS thing it just shows you are in a restricted country
