I was in London supporting my wife who was undergoing treatment at the Royal Marsden, yes we jumped the queue that was obviously caused by covid for UK citizens.
All our expenses were paid, flights accommodation, taxis, treatment plus a daily expenses to cover food by a Gibraltar charity ( read Government )
so the free medicines from the NHS were a minor cost to them in the overall picture, but very welcome.
I would have been happy to pay personally for the medicine but the UK system does not allow this.
