UK Interest rates rising
High street bank now paying 5 percent - the rest will follow.
Not surprising really - if US Treasury is paying close to 4 percent, banks have got to offer more.
They will go further yet.

Interesting times indeed - looks like Brown's only got a day or two left in power. Be interesting how the markets react....

Downwards of course. Just as they were starting to rise. Start of better economic data coming out of the UK and then the buggers start resigning and down the pound goes.
