UK expats in Maella Spain
Hi All,
I am Faisal from London, recently acquired an olive farm in Spain. Happy to meet other expats in the area and exchange ideas on horticulture and finca management.

We too moved to the area last summer. Have bought a finca and now have plenty of renovation ahead. How is your project going? If you need any advice please ask away.

Have just googled where Maella is and noticed that is not far from Caspe. I had assumed it would be in Andalucia, but no, Aragon.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that Caspe reputedly produces the best olives in Spain. If so, then they must be doing something right!

Hi,
We are new here, from Belgium, my husband and I bought a small finca with a ruin on it, planted with olive and almond trees
It is 3 km from Maella.
We want to plant some more trees on our land and build a small house and drill for water! We are coming over this weekend to meet the potential water drilling people.
The finca will be for vacation (and book-writing) only for the moment, in a tent that is...
Any advice (on plants, water, house building) is welcome!
Just making new friends and not knowing it together is fine too ;-).!
The first day on our property, hunters were all over the place to shoot rabbits...we were terrified and the rabbits were lucky, we ate chicken that night.

some questions
1. where do we buy car or 4x4
2 do you know any honest builders
3. Do the farmers do contract work?- will they up keep you farm for example?
4. can you rent machinery and processing?
