Default uk bank tax residency form

I received a letter today from NATWESt with a form which they are telling me to fill in. It says that it needs to confirm that I'm a resident of Spain and that it may notify the tax authorities here of my residence for tax purposes. I am a pensioner and only receive my pension, which is paid into Natwest in the UK. Is this kosher? Thanks

Yes quite probably - all part of the banks' obligations to counter money laundering etc. If you are resident in Spain you should make an annual tax declaracion - even if your income is a basic pension it is still best to declare and be fiscally resident.
